Jonny began his golf career when he won the World Boys' Championship in the mid 1980s. He represented Scotland in various competitions from 1987 to 1989 before turning pro and won the the Tartan Tour Order of Merit in 1996.
Jonny was director of golf at the Westerwood Hotel Golf and Country Club for seven years before bringing his committment and expertise to The Carrick in 2007.
He is very enthusiastic about helping golfers of all levels to enjoy their rounds, and passionate about the junior lessons that he gives at the Wee Demon. Together with another Scot, Colin Montgomerie, Jonny still holds the Carnoustie championship course record of 64.
